Job description

JSS Search is assisting an established corporate bank in hiring a Financial Risk Manager for their 2nd Line of Defense (LOD). This newly-created role is a result of the bank's ongoing growth and investment in their Risk & Compliance functions. The position is based in London with a hybrid working model, suitable for candidates with prior 2LOD experience and a focus on capital risk.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal requirements through challenging treasury and finance functions
• Recommend risk appetite limits for the bank
• Review and challenge ALCO packs
• Develop and maintain risk policies related to capital, market, and liquidity risk
• Provide assurance on ICAAP/ILAAP challenges
• Contribute to pricing committees and ensure accuracy of FTP assumptions

Requirements:

• Experience in 2LOD, including exposure to capital, market, and liquidity risk
• Understanding of regulatory guidelines
• Ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders
• Experience with IRRBB

This role is based in London, requiring 2-3 days in the office per week. The salary range is £70,000 to £80,000 per annum.
