Job summary

ICAEW in Reading seeks an experienced Financial Reporting Manager to lead a portfolio of client assignments, ensuring high quality deliverables and deadlines are met.

You will supervise junior staff, mentor the team, manage stakeholder relationships and drive process improvements. ACA or ACCA qualification is required; strong technical accounting and reporting expertise is essential.

Your new role

This is a key management position, combining technical financial reporting expertise with team leadership and client relationship management.You'll oversee the delivery of financial statement reviews across a diverse client portfolio, ensuring work is delivered to a high standard and within agreed deadlines. Acting as a senior point of contact, you'll work closely with clients and colleagues to resolve queries, manage workflow and drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities will include:

What you'll need to succeed

You will be ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent) and possess strong financial reporting experience gained within practice or a similar professional environment.
You'll also be able to demonstrate:

• Previous experience managing or supervising staff
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• A proactive and commercial approach
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills
