TPF Recruitment is recruiting a Financial Reporting Manager in Maidstone for a Top 15 Chartered Accountancy Practice client. The role suits a qualified accountant with audit or financial reporting background seeking a more technical, accounts-focused leadership position.

You will lead statutory accounts and reporting in line with IFRS and UK GAAP, develop junior staff, and drive continuous improvement while supporting client relationships.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA or ACCA with accounting practice background.
• Experience in financial reporting and statutory accounts.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS and Charities SORP.
• Proven ability to prepare/review consolidations.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Experience supervising or mentoring staff is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of statutory accounts and financial reports in line with IFRS/UK GAAP.
• Advise clients on complex financial reporting matters and judgements.
• Support audit team with technical financial reporting queries.
• Oversee finalisation of statutory financial statements.
• Develop and mentor junior members of the financial reporting team.
• Ensure compliance with evolving accounting standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to deliver seamless client service.
• Drive process improvements and best practices across the team.

TPF Recruitment, Kent’s leading accountancy practice recruitment agency, is delighted to be working with a Top 15 Chartered Accountancy Practice in Maidstone to recruit a Financial Reporting Manager.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant, typically from an audit and accounts background, who is looking to step into a more technical, accounts focused role with added responsibility and leadership exposure.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of statutory accounts, financial reports, consolidations and disclosures in line with IFRS, UK GAAP (FRS 102) and Charities SORP
  
• Act as a key point of contact for clients, advising on complex financial reporting matters and areas of judgement
  
• Support the audit team with technical financial reporting queries and year end processes
  
• Oversee the finalisation of statutory financial statements
  
• Manage and develop junior members of the financial reporting team
  
• Ensure compliance with evolving accounting standards and regulatory requirements
  
• Work closely with other departments to deliver a seamless client service
  
• Drive efficiencies, best practice, and continuous improvement across processes
  

Requirements

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
  
• Coming from either an audit background, or a financial reporting background.
  
• Strong technical expertise in financial reporting and statutory accounts
  
• Proven experience preparing and reviewing consolidations
  
• In depth knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS and ideally Charities SORP
  
• Strong communication skills with the ability to manage client relationships effectively
  
• Previous experience supervising or mentoring staff is advantageous
