The Financial Reporting Manager is a critical role that will oversee the preparation of all external financial reports for Squarepoint. The ideal candidate will have started their career in a public accounting before moving onto an External Reporting group on the private side.

  • Preparation of annual external financial reports for all Squarepoint entities, consolidated and stand alone
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP/IFRS and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Interact with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
  • Provide expert advice on technical accounting and reporting matters.
  • Participate in the development of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Support the CFO and other senior executives with financial analysis and strategic initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement in the financial reporting process.

Required Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • CPA certification required
  • Deep expertise in U.S. GAAP and proven ability to apply guidance to complex and evolving business scenarios.
  • 8+ years of experience
  • Public accounting experience.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exposure to technical accounting as it relates to both investment fund accounting and corporate accounting
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of financial reporting requirements for physical commodities is a big plus

The minimum base salary for this role is $100,000 if located in New York. This expectation is based on available information at the time of posting. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, which could constitute a significant portion of total compensation. This role may also be eligible for benefits, such as health, dental, and other wellness plans, as well as 401(k) contributions.
