Job description

We’re looking for a Financial Reporting Manager to join our dynamic Finance team at Westfield’s Head Office in White City. This is a high-impact role responsible for leading statutory reporting and accounting compliance across 90+ UK and Jersey entities, ensuring precision, transparency, and alignment with regulatory standards. If you're a technically strong ACA or CA-qualified accountant with a passion for process improvement and stakeholder collaboration, this is your opportunity to shape financial reporting at one of the most iconic retail destinations in Europe.

What you will be doing…

Statutory Reporting & Compliance

  • Lead the production and review of statutory accounts for 90+ UK and Jersey entities

  • Prepare consolidated accounts for Westfield Europe Limited and its subsidiaries

  • Ensure timely filing of statutory and non-statutory accounts

  • Develop and manage a coordinated timetable for statutory accounts, tax filings, and compliance

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with corporate accounting, tax, legal, and company secretarial teams

  • Manage relationships with external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process

Technical Accounting Leadership

  • Serve as the UK Finance team’s technical accounting expert

  • Draft accounting papers and provide guidance on changes in accounting standards

  • Support corporate transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, and liquidations

Process & Systems Improvement

  • Drive continuous improvement in statutory account production using OneSource

  • Lead the upgrade to a cloud-based OneSource platform

Tax & Regulatory Support

  • Assist the tax team with corporation tax returns and iXBRL submissions

  • Support FCA compliance reporting and ONS survey completion

Treasury & Structural Oversight

  • Provide ad hoc support to the Treasury team

  • Maintain a deep understanding of group structure and ensure accurate accounting treatment of agreements and contracts

Team Leadership

  • Manage and develop a team of 2–3 direct reports

  • Foster a culture of professional growth, accountability, and high performance

What skills, experience, and knowledge will you need to be successful?

  • ACA or CA qualified, with strong technical knowledge of FRS 102

  • Proven experience in consolidation accounting and preparation of statutory accounts.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and review large volumes of statutory and non-statutory accounts.

  • Strong technical accounting expertise, with the ability to interpret and apply complex standards.

  • Excellent Excel skills and strong proficiency in financial systems.

  • SAP / SAP 4 Hana experience
