A fast-growing finance firm in Crewe is seeking a qualified accountant to manage month-end reporting and lead financial processes. You will provide guidance to junior managers and contribute to audits and cash flow forecasts. The ideal candidate has strong reporting experience and thrives in fast-changing environments. This role offers a competitive salary of £50,000-£60,000, flexible working hours, and additional benefits including a discretionary bonus and private medical insurance.

Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA / ACA / ACCA).
  • Experience in month-end reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Manage month-end reporting for newly acquired business.
  • Oversee intercompany balances and financial reporting integrity.
  • Lead preparation of cash flow forecasts and budgets.
  • Coordinate audit process ensuring requirements are met.
  • Challenge existing processes and drive efficiencies.

Description

month-end reporting process for a newly acquired business, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and insightful analysis to support strategic decision-making.

manage and resolve intercompany balances across the division, maintaining integrity and transparency in financial reporting.

responsible for the division balance sheets, ensuring all accounts are reconciled and accurately reflect the financial position of the business.

work closely with junior finance managers, providing guidance and support to help develop their skills and ensure consistency across reporting and processes.

lead the preparation of cash flow forecasts and quarterly budgets, contributing to effective financial planning and resource allocation.

oversee and coordinate the audit process across the Energy team, ensuring all requirements are met and supporting a smooth and efficient audit cycle.

manage capital expenditure tracking and fixed asset accounting, ensuring compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.

continuously challenge existing processes and identify opportunities to drive efficiencies, streamline workflows, and enhance reporting quality.

support the wider finance function with various ad hoc tasks and projects, contributing to the overall success and agility of the team.
