Company Overview
Wattbike was born from sport and built to deliver elite-level training to all. Originating from a collaboration with British Cycling, we’ve gone on to support Olympians, Premiership football clubs, the New Zealand All Blacks, and thousands of everyday athletes around the world. Our smart indoor bikes and digital platform offer market-leading accuracy, a realistic ride feel, and training insights trusted by professionals and passionate amateurs alike. Now part of the Interactive Strength (TRNR) Group, alongside leading fitness and tech brands including Sportstech.de, our five-year strategic goal is to grow to £50m in revenue.
Role Overview
We are looking for a technically strong and detail-oriented Financial Reporting Controller to join our finance team at a pivotal time of growth and change. This is a newly created role designed to take ownership of and enhance our statutory reporting capabilities and strengthen our internal control environment, especially as we move into a phase of US GAAP reporting requirements and potential applicability of SOX 404 compliance following a recently announced new ownership by a US-listed group.
This role is ideally suited for a qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) with an audit background looking to make their first move into industry. It offers significant exposure to financial compliance, statutory reporting, and internal controls, and plays a critical part in helping the business scale its finance operations for the future.
