Job description

Our client is seeking a Financial Reporting and Accounting Manager to join their team on a full-time basis. Based in Jersey, this role offers an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to manage and support a busy client accounting team, oversee the delivery of high-quality financial reporting services, and contribute to process improvements across the business. The position will suit a dynamic individual with experience in real estate SPVs, corporate structures, and bespoke investor reporting.

Job Duties:

• Manage and oversee the production of client deliverables including bookkeeping, management accounts, financial statements, and regulatory or tax filings
• Ensure client deliverables meet statutory, regulatory, and internal quality standards
• Set up accounting frameworks in accordance with client documentation and relevant regulations
• Support the accounting team in delivering client outputs, stepping in as required
• Monitor internal targets and ensure deadlines are met
• Oversee the annual audit process and assist in the review of bookkeeping and financial statements
• Liaise with clients regarding accounting requirements and respond to technical queries
• Assist with matters relating to tax, capital allowances, corporate tax, and non-resident landlord returns
• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and efficiency
• Contribute to internal initiatives and projects as directed by senior management

Job Requirements:

• Fully qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, ICAS, CIMA)
• Strong working knowledge of FRS 102 and IFRS
• Experience using accounting software (e.g. Q-core, NAV, Viewpoint)
• Proven ability to manage and coach a team
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• High attention to detail and a proactive, solution-oriented approach
• Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
