We are seeking a qualified Financial Reporting Accountant to join a global firm based in Canary Wharf, London E14 5AA.

The successful candidate will report to the Manager of UK & HQ Financial Accounting and will be responsible for providing financial accounting services to the company's European operations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing statutory accounts for UK entities, liaising with auditors (KPMG), and ensuring compliance with UK GAAP (FRS102).
• Leading interim and year-end SOX control audits, coordinating responses, and preparing supporting documentation.
• Ensuring timely internal reporting to headquarters in the US, including benefit analysis, tax reports, and doubtful account provisions.
• Performing month-end close activities, including accruals, amortizations, payroll accounting, and currency revaluations.
• Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of open items.
• Reviewing accounting entries in SAP and analyzing variances to maintain data integrity.
• Supporting ad hoc statutory and analytical work, participating in projects, and representing the team as needed.

Qualifications and skills required:

• Degree educated and a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS102).
• Minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience in financial accounting, within practice or industry.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
• Proficient in Excel and SAP; experience with Thomson Reuters OneSource is a plus.
