Job Description:

Location: Glascoed, Wales. Preston or Frimley, Surrey will also be considered, with occasional travel to Glascoed approximately once per month. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Prepare, review, and consolidate statutory financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timely completion
  • Manage month-end reporting processes and financial data consolidation across multiple legal entities
  • Utilise and optimise financial reporting systems, including Hyperion and ERP platforms, for analysis and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements, internal controls, and regulatory filings
  • Support external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and technical accounting expertise
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy
  • Stay up to date with changes in accounting standards and regulations, providing relevant guidance
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, external auditors, and the wider reporting team to support business needs

Your skills and experiences:

  • Proven experience in preparing multiple statutory accounts
  • In-depth technical accounting knowledge
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and financial reporting software
  • High level of accuracy and ability to meet tight deadlines, particularly during month-end close
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of effective teamwork

The Finance Team:

As a Financial Reporting Accountant within our Shared Services Centre, you will be a valued member of the Financial Reporting team, playing a vital role in the preparation and review of multiple statutory financial statements. Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, you will also contribute to the month-end reporting process, leveraging Hyperion to consolidate and analyse financial data. In addition, you will be responsible for preparing and submitting statistical returns and ad-hoc financial reports to support business needs. Working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, you will help drive efficiency and accuracy across our financial reporting processes.
