Job Title: Financial Reporting Accountant

Location: Glascoed, Wales. Preston or Frimley, Surrey will also be considered, with occasional travel to Glascoed approximately once per month. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: Circa £47,000 depending on experience

What You'll Be Doing

1. Prepare, review, and consolidate statutory financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timely completion
2. Manage month-end reporting processes and financial data consolidation across multiple legal entities
3. Utilise and optimise financial reporting systems, including Hyperion and ERP platforms, for analysis and reporting
4. Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements, internal controls, and regulatory filings
5. Support external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and technical accounting expertise
6. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy
7. Stay up to date with changes in accounting standards and regulations, providing relevant guidance
8. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, external auditors, and the wider reporting team to support business needs

Essential

Your skills and experiences:

1. Proven experience in preparing multiple statutory accounts
2. In-depth technical accounting knowledge
3. Proficiency in ERP systems and financial reporting software
4. High level of accuracy and ability to meet tight deadlines, particularly during month-end close
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of effective teamwork

1. Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)

The Finance Team

As a Financial Reporting Accountant within our Shared Services Centre, you will be a valued member of the Financial Reporting team, playing a vital role in the preparation and review of multiple statutory financial statements. Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, you will also contribute to the month-end reporting process, leveraging Hyperion to consolidate and analyse financial data. In addition, you will be responsible for preparing and submitting statistical returns and ad-hoc financial reports to support business needs. Working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, you will help drive efficiency and accuracy across our financial reporting processes.
