The Financial Reporting Accountant will be responsible for preparing and analysing financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing accurate financial reporting to internal stakeholders. This role will require a strong understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
- Maintain and update financial records, ensuring the integrity of financial data.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments.
- Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Provide financial data to senior management for decision-making and strategic planning.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial reporting requirements, and company policies.
- Assist in the preparation of VAT returns and other statutory filings.
- Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and standards.
- Proactively identify areas for process improvement and implement changes.
- Enhance internal controls over financial reporting.
Requirements- ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in financial reporting or related field.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
