Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting a Permanent Financial Accountant in London for a leading international energy business. The role covers statutory accounts, IFRS reporting, month-end close, consolidations across multiple entities and support for external audits.

You will partner with operational and commercial teams, drive process improvements and support strategic finance projects, with exposure to senior stakeholders and strong career development.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with strong technical accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Experience in statutory accounts preparation, IFRS reporting and audit management.
• Experience working within complex, multi-entity or international organisations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory accounts and deliver accurate financial reporting in line with IFRS and group requirements.
• Manage month-end processes, consolidations and balance sheet reconciliations across multiple entities.
• Support external audits, ensuring strong financial controls and compliance are maintained.
• Partner with operational and commercial teams to provide accounting guidance and technical support.
• Drive process improvements, systems enhancements and support strategic projects, including business growth initiatives.

Description

• Prepare statutory accounts and deliver accurate financial reporting in line withIFRS and group requirements.

Profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with strong technical accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Proven background in statutory accounts preparation, IFRS reporting and audit management.
• Experience working within complex, multi-entity or international organisations.
• Strong systems skills, ideally including SAP and group reporting/consolidation tools.
• Commercially minded professional with excellent stakeholder management skills and a proactive approach to process improvement and continuous development.

Job Offer
