A high-growth (Re)insurance firm in London is seeking a driven finance professional to manage financial reporting for its Middle East operations. You will lead the monthly close process, ensure accurate reporting, and collaborate with senior stakeholders. Ideal candidates are fully qualified accountants with a strong understanding of the MGA model and experience in dynamic, scale-up environments.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of the MGA model and regulatory environment in the (Re)insurance sector.
  • Experience supporting external audits and preparing statutory financials.
  • Comfortable operating in a dynamic, scale-up environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the monthly close process for a regulated entity under DIFC.
  • Prepare and post journals in Oracle NetSuite.
  • Deliver quarterly and annual capital adequacy returns to the DFSA.

A high-growth specialist player in the (Re)insurance space is looking for a driven finance professional to take full ownership of financial reporting processes for its Middle East operations.

Operating in a fast-paced and agile environment, you'll work at the heart of the business - ensuring regulatory, statutory, and management reporting is accurate, timely, and insightful. This is more than a finance job - it's a unique opportunity to shape processes, influence key stakeholders, and grow with a business that's scaling fast in a high-potential market.

Key deliverables:

  • Lead the monthly close process for a regulated entity under DIFC, including ownership of the technical and non-technical ledger.
  • Prepare and post journals in Oracle NetSuite, and liaise with outsourced service providers where required.
  • Deliver quarterly and annual capital adequacy returns to the DFSA.
  • Coordinate year-end audit and produce statutory financial statements.
  • Support tax compliance including preparation of VAT data for submission to UAE authorities.
  • Develop and refine internal processes for more efficient financial analysis and reporting.
  • Monitor aged debt and unallocated cash positions, reporting key insights monthly.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with senior stakeholders, including management, auditors, and external partners.

What You Bring:

  • Fully qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
  • Strong understanding of the MGA model and regulatory environment in the (Re)insurance sector (Essential)
  • Experience supporting external audits and preparing statutory financials
  • Proactive communicator with an analytical mindset and attention to detail
  • Comfortable operating in a dynamic, scale-up environment with shifting priorities
