Join Our Team

As a Finance Process Engineer, you will analyze current processes and recommend, design, and implement efficient end-to-end processes to enhance operational effectiveness. You will collaborate with various departments to identify improvement areas and develop solutions aligned with strategic goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and exceptional project management skills. You will report to the Head of Finance Transformation.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Analyze current financial processes, focusing initially on the Technical Accounting environment, and identify areas for improvement.
  2. Design and implement optimized financial workflows, processes, controls, and project plans to achieve future state outcomes.
  3. Collaborate with finance, underwriting, claims, IT, and other departments to ensure seamless adoption of new processes.
  4. Develop and maintain documentation for financial processes and procedures, including narratives and process maps.
  5. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented processes and make necessary adjustments.
  6. Provide training and support to staff on new financial processes.
  7. Liaise with internal and external auditors regarding walkthroughs and controls.
  8. Partner with the finance transformation team on various projects and initiatives.
  9. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in financial process engineering within insurance and reinsurance sectors.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Accounting designation preferred.
  • CPCU, ARE, or other insurance/reinsurance designations are a plus.
  • Experience with Six Sigma, Lean Six Sigma, DMAIC, BPM frameworks, or familiarity with APQC process classification framework.
  • Experience working with IT developers and data teams.
  • Experience with insurance finance operations.
  • Proven process engineering experience within insurance or reinsurance sectors.
  • Expertise in process modeling and related tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of US GAAP.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as Guidewire BillingCenter, Workiva, SICS, Power BI, and Workday is advantageous.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience liaising with auditors and insurance professionals.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work additional hours as needed.
