Job summary

Clayton Davies is acting as an employment agency on behalf of a highly regarded wealth management business in Marlow seeking a Financial Planning Team Leader. This role blends people management with advanced financial planning for a select book of High-Net-Worth clients.

You will lead and coach a team of Financial Planners, conduct development meetings, and partner with Compliance, HR and Growth to drive performance and best-in-class client outcomes.

Qualifications

• Chartered Financial Planner status is required.
• 5+ years' experience as an Independent Financial Adviser.
• Strong knowledge across pensions, investments, protection and planning.
• Experience working with High-Net-Worth clients and complex planning requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Financial Planners.
• Conduct regular 1-2-1s and development meetings.
• Support less experienced advisers in progression.
• Improve adviser productivity, capacity and performance.
• Maintain high standards of financial advice and client outcomes.
• Oversee Training & Competence frameworks for advisers.
• Identify opportunities to improve advice processes and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Operations, HR, Growth and Proposition.
• Plan for future adviser recruitment, development and succession.
• Manage your own portfolio of established HNW clients.
• Provide holistic financial planning across investments, pensions and protection.

Job description

We’re working with a highly regarded wealth management business in Marlow that is looking to appoint a Financial Planning Team Leader. This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished Financial Planner to take on a key leadership position while remaining actively involved with clients.

The role offers a genuine blend of people management and financial planning, with approximately half your time dedicated to leading and developing a team of Financial Planners and the remainder focused on managing relationships with a select portfolio of High-Net-Worth clients.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Leading, coaching and developing a team of Financial Planners
• Conducting regular 1-2-1s and structured development meetings
• Supporting less experienced advisers as they progress within the business
• Helping advisers improve productivity, capacity and overall performance
• Maintaining consistently high standards of financial advice and client outcomes
• Overseeing adviser development through appropriate Training & Competence frameworks
• Identifying opportunities to improve advice processes, efficiency and consistency
• Using management information to understand performance and identify areas for improvement
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across Compliance, Operations, HR, Growth and Proposition
• Helping the business plan for future adviser recruitment, development and succession
• Managing your own portfolio of established HNW clients
• Providing holistic financial planning across areas including investments, pensions and protection

Do you have the following to apply?

• Chartered Financial Planner status
• At least 5 years' experience as an Independent Financial Adviser
• Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, protection and wider financial planning
• Experience working with HNW clients and more complex planning requirements
• Previous experience of managing, coaching or mentoring Financial Planners
