What you'll be responsible for
Client Service
- Excellent client management skills, delivering consistently high-quality advice while acting as a point of reference for complex client cases and judgement-based decisions within the team.
- Ensure that clients' annual review services are delivered consistently and reliably and that the records adequately attest to this.
- Manage a client portfolio with Group revenue contribution of over £500k per annum with AUM of over £60million.
- Ability to review client circumstance and identify areas of important/potential future opportunities.
- Proactively engages with clients and intermediaries, resolving issues and enhancing client experience, consistently achieves high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
- Collaborates with IM's/ PM's and other Rathbones services to deliver holistic outcomes (where appropriate).
Financial Planning and technical development
- Manage risk by: maintaining good working knowledge and provide advice in line with legislative and other requirements; completing CPD in line with regulatory requirements to maintain SPS; ensuring complete and timely records are made of all interactions with clients and technical documentation is in place to satisfy any requirements of any pension, investment, legislative or compliance changes; regular reviews of clients' personal arrangements in line with the Ongoing Advice/ one off advice service.

Business Development and Growth
- Builds & maintains network within Financial Planning and Investment Management and has a network with external stakeholders to support with client introductions.
- Contribute to the growth of the business (and own client book) through provision of high-quality compliant advice and the participation in marketing initiatives.
- To follow up on all opportunities to win new clients.
- Participates in Business Development Training.
- Continue to identify and pursue new business opportunities aligned with Rathbones strategic goals.
Team Contribution and Learning
- Active role in projects and commitment to continuous improvement of the business.
- Actively contributes to training and development of team members.
- Consistently shares best practices with team and supports a right 1st time attitude.
About you

- CII Level 6, Chartered Financial Planner or equivalent (CISI).
- Complete any further qualifications as required by the business.
- Strong technical capability and competence.
- Knowledge updated regularly through reading updates, attending industry events or company briefs.
- Commercial awareness whilst ensuring that regulatory and Training & Competence requirements are observed.
- Continues to seek new business, AUM and revenue.
