Job summary

SF Partners in Birmingham is seeking an ACA-qualified FP&A Manager to work with the Finance Director, applying commercial and analytical skills from practice to industry, with exposure to acquisitions and investment appraisals.

You will lead financial planning, budgeting and forecasting, develop financial models, analyse performance, support acquisitions, and interact with private equity investors; a hybrid work pattern is offered.

Qualifications

• ACA qualified with strong technical and analytical background.
• Experience in Transaction Services, Financial Due Diligence or Deal Advisory at manager level.
• Strong financial modelling skills and ability to interpret complex financial information.

FP&A Manager - Fast-Growing Private Equity Backed Business

Location: Birmingham

Working Pattern: Hybrid Working

Are you ACA qualified with a background in Transaction Services, Financial Due Diligence or Deal Advisory and considering a move into industry? If so, then this could be the perfect opportunity for you. I'm working with a fast-growing,private equity backed business that is looking to recruit an FP&A Manager to work closely with its Finance Director.

This is an opportunity for someone who wants to take the commercial and analytical skills they've developed in practice and apply them directly within a business, gaining exposure to acquisitions, investment appraisals, strategic decision-making and private equity investors.

You may be looking for your first move out of practice within a Transaction Services, Financial Due Diligence or Deal Advisory role or have already made the transition into industry within an FP&A role.

The Role:

Working closely with the Finance Director, you'll play an important role in helping the business understand its financial performance,evaluate opportunities and support its continued growth.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Financial planning,budgeting and forecasting,providing insight into business performance and future opportunities.
• Developing financial models to support commercial decisions,investment appraisals and strategic planning.
• Analysing financial performance,identifying key drivers,risks and opportunities.
• Supporting the Finance Director with acquisitions,investment analysis and other commercial projects.
• Gaining exposure to the business's private equity investors and their financial reporting and information requirements.
• Producing meaningful financial analysis and management information to support senior leadership.
• Helping improve financial planning,reporting and analysis as the business continues to grow.

About You:

We're particularly interested in speaking with ACA qualified individuals who have developed their careers within a leading accounting practice.

Ideally, you'll be:

• ACA qualified, with a strong technical and analytical background.
• Experience within Transaction Services, Financial Due Diligence or Deal Advisory, ideally at Manager level.
• Strong financial modelling skills and the ability to analyse and interpret complex financial information.
• A good understanding of business performance,profitability,cash flow and the commercial drivers behind the numbers.
• Confidence communicating with senior stakeholders and presenting financial information clearly.
• The ambition and commercial curiosity to build a successful career within industry.

Previous experience working with private equity clients or PE backed businesses would be relevant.

You don't need to have held an FP&A Manager position previously. We're equally interested in individuals making their first move from practice who can demonstrate the analytical ability, commercial understanding and potential to succeed in this role.
