We are on a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate Financial Planning Analyst.

This role

You will be involved in financial research and analyze costs for projects and departments. Additionally, you will perform system data maintenance, and determine, summarize & advise customer/item profitability margins.

Responsibilities include quotations for all Cool Gear Brand hydration products. Opportunity for cross-functional exposure, working with costing, sourcing and sales members to generate accurate, competitive price quotes and strengthen overall product margins based on company and customer requirements. Collaborate with the sales team and supply chain to improve productivity and efficiency by providing analysis and reporting that identify strategic savings opportunities and highlight trends requiring action.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain up-to-date cost information for all items across all factories.
  • Prioritize quote requests, maintain the Quote Request (QR) log, and track all quoting activity.
  • Prepare timely and accurate responses to Price Quotation requests from project managers and sales team.
  • Ensure all costs are captured in customer quotations, including allowances, plate fees, heat transfer fees, display costs, MOQs, color changes, enhancements, labeling, testing, etc. Review and analyze all new item costs and ensure they are in line with existing item costs.
  • Report analysis information to upper management and key stakeholders.
  • Create all item numbers, UPC’s, etc. and update relevant systems and master lists accordingly.
  • Review and approve all factories pricing on Purchase Orders.
  • Monitor monthly shipping costs and ensure new processes we put in place to minimize shipping costs are followed. Collaborate with UPS to secure increased incentives for international shipments.
  • Generate the weekly sales report and update the Sales Forecast report accordingly.
  • Manage all data uploads into Oracle.
  • Create, organize and manage access to all quoting and costing folders in SharePoint
  • Work with Sales Team to build a sales plan for budgeting, in addition to forecasting in-fiscal year changes.
  • Prepare and analyze sales and margin reports.
  • Conduct P&L analysis by customer and division, highlighting key topline and expense variance drivers
  • Assist in onboarding and training of new staff as needed.
  • Complete special projects and tasks assigned.
  • Develop and maintain procedural documentation.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

A suitable background would be a solid experience within the following qualifications and experiences:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent work experience.
  • Solid understanding of cost accounting principles.
  • Strong attention to detail with proven analytical capabilities.
  • Expert Excel user; skilled with Microsoft Office Products.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple objectives.
  • Effective planning and organizational skills.
