Job summary

Talentedge is partnering with a fast-growing FMCG business in London to recruit a Senior FP&A Analyst into its expanding finance team. The role offers broad exposure across planning, commercial analysis and business partnering, with visibility to senior leadership.

You will own budgeting, forecasting and reporting cycles, build financial models, partner with Sales, Marketing and Operations, and help shape strategic decisions as the business scales.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification.
• FP&A, commercial finance or a similarly analytical finance role experience.
• Experience within FMCG, food & beverage, consumer goods or related sector.
• Strong financial modelling and advanced Excel skills.
• Understanding of commercial drivers such as revenue, gross margin, pricing, volume and promotions.
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
• Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
• Proactive, inquisitive approach with the confidence to challenge and influence.
• Interest in working in a growing business where processes evolve and there is scope to make an impact.

Responsibilities

• Own budgeting process, rolling forecasts and long-term financial planning.
• Produce monthly management reporting, variance analysis and leadership commentary.
• Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives, investment decisions and scenario planning.
• Partner with Sales, Marketing and Operations to understand revenue, gross margin, costs and profitability.
• Analyse key FMCG performance drivers including volume, price, mix, promotions and customer profitability.
• Support SKU, product and channel profitability analysis for commercial decision-making.
• Provide financial insight into new product launches, pricing decisions and investment opportunities.
• Support Board and investor reporting, including KPI analysis.
• Identify opportunities to improve forecasting accuracy, reporting processes and financial visibility.
• Build and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to improve management information.

This is an opportunity to join an ambitious consumer brand where finance plays a central role in driving commercial performance, supporting strategic decisions and providing meaningful insight to senior leadership. The role offers broad exposure across financial planning, commercial analysis and business partnering, with the opportunity to influence how the business scales.

The Role

Reporting into the FP&A Manager, you will take ownership of key elements of the planning and reporting cycle while partnering with commercial and operational stakeholders to understand performance and identify opportunities for growth.

You will be responsible for:

• Supporting the annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts and long-term financial planning.
• Producing monthly management reporting, variance analysis and commentary for senior leadership.
• Developing financial models to support strategic initiatives, investment decisions and scenario planning.
• Partnering with Sales, Marketing and Operations to understand revenue, gross margin, costs and profitability.
• Analysing key FMCG performance drivers, including volume, price, mix, promotional investment and customer profitability.
• Supporting SKU, product and channel profitability analysis to inform commercial decision-making.
• Providing financial insight into new product launches, pricing decisions and investment opportunities.
• Supporting the preparation of Board and investor reporting, including financial performance and KPI analysis.
• Identifying opportunities to improve forecasting accuracy, reporting processes and financial visibility.
• Building and maintaining dashboards and reporting tools to improve the quality and accessibility of management information.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working with data, challenging assumptions and influencing business decisions.

You will ideally have:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
• Previous experience in FP&A, commercial finance or a similarly analytical finance role.
• Experience within FMCG, food & beverage, consumer goods or a closely related sector.
• Strong financial modelling and advanced Excel skills.
• A good understanding of commercial drivers such as revenue, gross margin, pricing, volume and promotional activity.
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
• The ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
• A proactive, inquisitive approach with the confidence to challenge and influence.
• An interest in working within a growing business where processes are evolving and there is scope to make a genuine impact.

Experience with Power BI, SQL or other business intelligence tools would be advantageous, but is not essential.
