Financial Planning & Analysis Consultant (Hybrid)

Your role in the team
Allstate is seeking a Financial Analyst to support our growing financial footprint. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timely closing of the general ledger and assisting in the financial reporting efforts of the accounting team. The Accounting Consultant will ensure financial accounts are reconciled and issues resolved timely, enabling accurate financial reporting.

You will thrive, think differently, challenge convention, and act with integrity, intention, and speed. You will be at the forefront of developing capabilities in support of Allstate's global business model and will deliver results.

This position is critical to the overall control environment of the Company. You will work in a highly collaborative environment primed to adapt to an ever-changing landscape and which places business solutions at its core.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare quarterly reporting deliverables, adhering to strict deadlines and maintaining a robust control structure.
  • Evaluate reported results and storyline variances to actual and plan periods, including investigation of fluctuations in trends.
  • Innovate and collaborate with the wider team, US and NI based.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and take initiative to implement solutions.
  • Solve complex problems through innovative thinking and independent decision-making.

Essential Skills

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a Finance/Accountancy role.
  • Previous experience in an analytical role.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience with Data Visualization tools, such as PowerBI or Tableau.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience with SQL.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience with MS Office Suite with strong Excel formula experience (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.).

Desirable Skills:

  • Good knowledge of control environments and SOX.
  • Working knowledge of SAP.
