Summary Description of Role:

  • Assist in the preparation of Budget and periodic forecasts
  • Support the FP&A team to conceptualise and define requirements for reports and other data needs.
  • Preparation and distribution of internal documents/reports
  • Gathering data, analysing data, producing reports and implementing recommendations.
  • Prepare reports on financial performance tailored to the needs of management.
  • Assist with compiling management information for product forecasting, budgeting and cost/benefit.
  • Work to support the wider teams through weekly and monthly, analysis
  • Organising invoices for authorisation and liaising with staff to ensure invoices are signed off on a timely basis
  • Support delivery of the purchase to pay process including processing of invoices
  • Supporting the Finance month / year end process.
  • Ensure payment of suppliers on time and responding to any queries or issues.
  • Support on ad hoc requests from Senior Managers
Responsibilities, Accountabilities and Deliverables:
  • Assist in preparing budget and forecast packs, evaluating current run-rates and anticipating trends.
  • Monitoring the control framework in place to deliver accurate and timely internal reporting information
  • Assist in preparation of board and management packs for the leadership team as required
  • Flexible and adaptable, happy to work in dynamic environment where priorities shift and compete and business challenges arise

Skills and Competencies:

  • Knowledge of Temenos (T24) system
  • Analytical, methodical and highly numerate.

  • Strong, positive interpersonal skills and excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proactive and inquisitive, seeking to learn and improve resources and processes to the benefit of the business
  • Capable communicator, with the ability to both influence stakeholders and listen to feedback as required
Experience:
  • Basic knowledge of standard accounting activities; production of monthly reports, accruals, prepayments, and performance analysis
  • Experience reconciling accounting figures and financial records
  • Knowledge and experience of banking products
Qualifications:
  • Fundamental accounting principles demonstrated by in-role experience and progress in studying for a professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
IT Skills:
  • Intermediate to advanced computer software skills, including Excel, Temenos and Trade Innovation
  • Previous knowledge of working with Temenos banking system desirable.
