Job description

Job Title: Financial Planning Administrator (route to paraplanner)

Salary: £30k - £33k plus bonuses

Location: Near Guildford (Surrey)

Clientele: Working with HNW & UHNW clients

My client is a well-established wealth planning practice based outside Guildford with over 30 years of operation. Having met the Directors and visited their offices, I can confirm their excellent reputation for providing solid financial advice to private and corporate clients across London, Kent, Surrey, Sussex, and Hampshire. They manage a substantial client book, including City professionals, families, retirees, and business owners, with investments ranging from £500k to over £3m.

The Managing Director is looking to recruit a new Financial Administrator. Typical duties include:

  1. Writing letters of authority and valuations
  2. Communicating with clients via phone
  3. Scheduling client reviews and preparing related documentation
  4. Collecting data from product providers
  5. Processing and submitting new business applications
  6. Ensuring all agreements, schedules, and records are accurately documented and up-to-date

Full training will be provided. Experience across a range of financial products (Pensions, Investments, Protections, etc.) and knowledge of Intelligent Office would be advantageous. The firm uses platforms including Elevate, Transact, Aberdeen, and Quilter.

The role is office-based with flexible hours. Support for exams and study is available, and there is a clear route to becoming a paraplanner, as the current administrator is being promoted to that position.

The salary offered is between £30k and £33k, with an attractive benefits package including Death in Service, Private Medical, and Life Insurance. The environment is supportive, collaborative, and aims to help staff develop professionally while enjoying their work.
