Job summary

M&G is recruiting a Financial Planning Administrator to support Independent Financial Planners with holistic planning and regulatory compliance. The role offers a pathway to Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning and progression into paraplanning and financial advice.

The role is based in Huddersfield, full-time with flexible hours, and a hybrid model after training to balance office and home working.

Qualifications

  • Experience in an administrative role, ideally within financial services.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage workflow effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence when interacting with clients and providers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Analytical capability to assess documentation against regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with advisers and compliance teams.
  • Liaise with clients to arrange meetings, obtain personal information, and support application completion.
  • Support the achievement of individual productivity objectives and service standards.
  • Maintain accurate client and departmental records.
  • Communicate with product providers, advisers, and internal colleagues to support client outcomes.
  • Create and maintain client records within the CRM system.
  • Process new business applications and support changes to existing business arrangements.

Financial Planning Administrator

Join a quality-focused Central Advice Department that supports Independent Financial Planners in delivering holistic financial planning solutions aligned to clients' individual objectives. The role provides administrative support that enables advisers to focus on client needs while maintaining high standards of accuracy, regulatory compliance, and client service.

The role would be a great opportunity for those looking to progress their career within Financial Advice. Once established, there will be an opportunity to be supported with Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning to enhance knowledge and open up pathways into paraplanning and then financial advice.

Main Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with advisers and compliance teams

The role is full time, with flexible hours available Monday to Friday and based at our Huddersfield office. After an initial training period a hybrid model of working is implemented, with part of the week in the office and part working from home.
