Job summary

M&G is seeking a Financial Planning Administrator in Huddersfield to support Independent Financial Planners with administrative tasks, regulatory compliance and client service.

You will liaise with clients to arrange meetings, manage information, and assist with application completion while ensuring accurate records. After an initial training period, hybrid working is available.

Qualifications

  • Experience in an administrative role, ideally within financial services
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage workflow effectively and communicate progress proactively
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence when interacting with clients and providers
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong attention to detail and appreciation of confidentiality requirements
  • Analytical capability to assess documentation against regulatory standards
  • Ability to build effective working relationships across teams and stakeholders
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively
  • A client-focused approach, positive attitude, and strong commercial awareness

  • Communicate with product providers, financial advisers, and internal colleagues to support client outcomes

Financial Planning Administrator

Join a quality-focused Central Advice Department that supports Independent Financial Planners in delivering holistic financial planning solutions aligned to clients' individual objectives. The role provides administrative support that enables advisers to focus on client needs while maintaining high standards of accuracy, regulatory compliance, and client service. The role would be a great opportunity for those looking to progress their career within Financial Advice. Once established, there will be an opportunity to be supported with Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning to enhance knowledge and open up pathways into paraplanning and then financial advice.

The role is full time, with flexible hours available Monday to Friday and based at our Huddersfield office. After an initial training period a hybrid model of working is implemented, with part of the week in the office and part working from home.
