The opportunity
We are looking for two Financial Planners to join our growing team.
A unique opportunity has been created to support our newly established Bureau service proposition, a virtual based solution dedicated to providing advice to clients with AUM expected to be between £200k and £500k.
You will work alongside an experienced Financial Planner to manage the ongoing servicing and advisory for this segment of clients, with financial planning needs such as ISA’s, GIA’s, Pensions and Investment Bonds.
It will be your responsibility to look after a client panel, booking in annual reviews, working with the Client Executive to prepare for the meeting, carrying out the meeting and then following up with any relevant recommendations.
You will nurture your client relationships, manage your portfolio effectively, and competently provide financial advice, whilst ensuring Progeny’s exceptionally high level of service is upheld and enabling your clients to reach their goals for the future.
We are seeking someone with excellent client service experience, who possesses the Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning, and who can demonstrate their experience in providing advisory solutions to clients and paraplanning.
This role offers a great opportunity to be a subject matter expert within your field, whilst expanding your knowledge and experience further. We can support you with:

Location
These roles offer home based working, with minimal travel to the office or elsewhere as required allowing you to balance your personal responsibilities/interests and connecting with your colleagues.
What you will do
- Deliver exceptional client service: meet client demands, keep them up to date with progress, and engendering trust and respect.
- Deliver financial plans and advice: in accordance with Progeny’s regulatory standards and rules, you will communicate financial plans and advice cohesively, ensuring client engagement and understanding, whilst working towards agreed activity targets.
- Manage ongoing review processes: aligning all processes with client service agreements.
- Maintain compliance: creating and maintaining compliant client files where all communication is documented correctly.
- Provide intelligent and creative solutions: dealing with client issues in both a reactive and proactive manner.
- Be a pioneer for Progeny: learn, understand, and successfully articulate all aspects of the firm’s financial planning proposition.
About you
To thrive in the role, you will be or have:
Diploma qualified in Financial Planning – you will possess the Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning, with an Advanced Diploma being desirable. If you do not currently have the Advanced diploma, we will provide you with the support required to do so.
Client-centric – experience in building and maintaining excellent relationships both internally and externally, with previous experience within a financial planning advisory role.
Paraplanning experience - as a fully competent Paraplanner, you will be able to demonstrate good application of technical knowledge and skills, showcasing an ability to undertake highly technical, precise and detailed work to a consistently high standard.
Substantial knowledge in key areas of financial planning and advice – including investment planning, pre/at retirement planning, personal and business protection, and estate planning.
A strong all-rounded Financial Services professional – proven experience within a full range of provider products, services, and capabilities, and have taken an active role in delivering them.
Exemplary communication and relationship building skills – a collaborative approach to working with Financial Planners and other colleagues to ensure great client service and outcomes.
Great tech skills - proficiency in Microsoft Office (with advanced Word/Excel skills) and a good working knowledge of different provider platforms.
Methodical and organised – an ability to work autonomously and manage your own workload effectively to produce thorough work that meets the needs of our clients and colleagues.
Excellent writing skills – skilled in compiling suitability reports and other documentation, ensuring written work is clear, accurate and concise.
