Exchange Street Financial Services Ltd in Leeds is seeking a commercially minded financial planner to join an independent, owner-managed firm. You’ll manage an established client portfolio and deliver long-term planning across pensions, retirement, investments, drawdown and cashflow, with strong admin and paraplanning support.
You’ll need at least two years’ experience, be client-focused and collaborative; paraplanning experience is a plus, and there is a clear path to increasing basic salary as
Salary/Rate: To c£65,000 + uncapped bonus + benefits
Everyone wants new business. Not everyone shows you how to win it. This firm does.
You’ll join on a basic of up to £70,000, inherit around £20m of existing AUM from the founder and have genuine support to grow from there.
That support comes through referrals, professional connections, marketing, content and existing client opportunities. The firm has a proven methodology for getting advisers in front of prospective clients, one that has already helped them establish several planners.
Now they want to do the same again.
Yes, they want someone commercially minded who can convert opportunities and grow AUM, but you’re not being dropped into a role and told to go and find everything yourself.
And unlike a lot of the adviser market, this is still a genuinely independent, directly authorised and privately owned financial planning firm.
You’ll take responsibility for an established portfolio of clients and provide proper long-term financial planning across areas such as pensions, retirement planning, investments, drawdown and cashflow planning.
There’s strong administration and paraplanning support, but this isn’t a role where advisers sit in a silo. It’s a relatively small, close-knit business, so they want someone who contributes, shares ideas and takes responsibility for the quality of the advice process.
As the team grows, there may also be scope to support and mentor less experienced colleagues.
You’ll need at least two years’ experience as a financial planner, so you’re already comfortable with the wider product, platform and investment market.
They’re looking for someone commercially minded and ambitious, but also detail-conscious, client-focused and collaborative.
They’d be keen to speak to people who have independent financial advice experience (even if it's within paraplanning). And if you've been a paraplanner before, even better.
The remuneration model is designed to reward both sides of the job: commercial growth through bonus, and the quality and size of the client bank you manage through progression in basic salary.
