Independent Financial Adviser

£50k - £60k basic salary plus bonus

Near Guildford/Godalming

Work on a 1-2-1 basis with MD and future leadership prospects

My client is a wealth planning practice based outside Guildford who have been operating for 30+ years. I have met the Directors and been to their offices and placed 7 staff into the business. They have an excellent reputation providing very solid financial advice to both private and corporate clients who lives in London, Kent, Surrey, Sussex & Hampshire. They have a large book of business who are City professionals, families, retirees, and business owners with a minimum of £500k to invest with their top customer holding £3m+ to invest.

The Managing Director is seeking to recruit a brand Independent Financial Adviser who is diploma qualified and has at least 6 months of advising experience. This role will be a marketing and new business orientated role with an emphasis on attending breakfast meetings, conferences, seminars, sponsored networking events amongst others in order to generate new business opportunities. You will be given a nucleus client bank to get you started but the emphasis will be on building this book of clients. They use a variety of platforms including Elevate, Transact, Aberdeen, Quilter etc.

The role will be office based but you will be actively encouraged to be out and about prospecting and generating new business. You will gain 1-2-1 mentorship from the Managing Director who is currently the highest billing adviser with the business. If you are sitting any exams towards Chartered status, then the Directors will support you with your studies. An adviser is retiring in 2026 so you will be given clients to manage when they step down. The MD is looking to offer £50k - £60k basic salary with an attractive bonus scheme and benefits package including Death in service, Private Medical and Life Insurance.
