Job Description:

This role involves supporting the Retail Finance team as a Financial Performance Manager within the Retail Protection business. Key responsibilities include monitoring financial performance against metrics, providing financial insights to stakeholders, supporting analytical capabilities, and ensuring compliance with financial controls and regulations. The role requires a qualified actuary with experience in financial reporting, knowledge of protection products, and proficiency with Excel, Prophet, and DCS. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are essential. The position offers flexible hybrid working options from UK offices in London, Cardiff, or Hove.

What you'll be doing:

  • Monitoring financial performance against key metrics
  • Using financial data to advise on management actions and challenge stakeholders
  • Developing analytical capabilities to understand and optimize financial drivers
  • Producing and communicating financial results timely and accurately
  • Reporting MI and ensuring compliance with controls and regulations
  • Considering customer fair treatment in all activities

Who we're looking for:

  • A Fully Qualified Actuary
  • Experience in financial management/reporting, preferably within a Life insurance context
  • Understanding of Solvency II & IFRS17
  • Knowledge of protection products, risks, and regulations (advantageous)
  • Proficiency in Excel, Prophet, DCS
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Adaptability, ability to multitask, and work independently or in teams
