The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Financial Operations Manager to become an integral part of our operations, located in Tullamarine, Melbourne.
The Financial Operations Manager - Melbourne is responsible for overseeing the company’s day-to-day financial operations. This role involves managing, planning, and organising functions such as fiscal tax, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. The position also ensures timely and accurate reporting of financial information for the location. The Financial Operations Manager reports to the Senior Manager, FPE International, based in West Chester, PA, USA, and collaborates closely with the General Manager in Melbourne.
This role acts as a crucial financial decision-maker in the CTDI Melbourne operation and is a key member of the global financial leadership team.
Key Responsibilities and duties will include, but are not limited to the following :
- Operate as a financial leader with strong business acumen, eager to grow within a dynamic and entrepreneurial business environment.
- Act as a strategic business partner, building strong relationships with senior leadership at CTDI Melbourne and global leadership teams.
- Oversee and manage the company’s third-party accounting firm to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, aligning with corporate closing timeline(s).
- Lead key projects related to financial operations and financial systems.
- Support daily P&L reporting processes in collaboration with Operations leadership.
- Manage the monthly financial close process, ensuring strong internal controls over accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury activities, including supplier payments and receipts.
- Manage the Company's cash flow, projections, and action plans in partnership with branch leadership to maintain the financial goals and cash stability.
- Own account reconciliations, providing detailed analysis and commentary on the balance sheet and income statement changes.
- Support the General Manager, Melbourne, and Operations team to identify and capitalise on profit enhancement opportunities.
- Lead the annual external audit, ensuring a smooth and timely process by providing necessary support and clarifications.
- Identify, develop, and execute analysis of business initiatives, new customers, and product or service offerings / launches within CTDI Melbourne.
- Review financial, accounting, and tax considerations in all contracts.
- Drive financial efficiency through cross-functional engagement and the effective use of technology.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or CPA qualification (or equivalent) is preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in financial management and accounting.
- Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
- Experience with Oracle or other large ERP systems and payroll systems preferred.
- Experience working with foreign currency transactions and international operations preferred.
