Cobalt Recruitment is working with a leading European investment manager to appoint a Fund Operations Analyst to its Jersey office. This hybrid role offers exposure across treasury, NAV oversight, reconciliations and financial reporting, with clear opportunities to develop in investment management.

You will join an experienced team, taking ownership of key operational responsibilities from day one and interacting with senior stakeholders and external service providers.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operation and oversight of alternative investment funds.
• Assist with treasury, liquidity monitoring, cash forecasting and cash management.
• Review NAV calculations and investigate valuation or reconciliation differences.
• Review annual and interim fund financial statements.
• Perform and review cash, position and other fund-related reconciliations.
• Investigate operational breaks and coordinate their resolution.
• Work with fund administrators, auditors, banks and other service providers.
• Monitor external deliverables for accuracy, timeliness and completeness.
• Identify opportunities to improve controls and data quality.

Position: Fund Operations Analyst

Location: Jersey - Hybrid

Type: Permanent, full time

Summary

Cobalt Recruitment is working with a leading European investment manager to appoint a Fund Operations Analyst to its Jersey office.

Offering broad exposure across treasury, NAV oversight, reconciliations and financial reporting, this is an excellent opportunity to build on your existing funds experience and accelerate your development within investment management.

You will join an experienced team and take ownership of key operational responsibilities from the outset. The role also provides regular interaction with senior stakeholders and a range of external service providers.

The position would suit someone who has developed an initial foundation in alternative investment funds and is now ready to broaden their technical knowledge, assume greater responsibility and become a well-rounded fund operations professional.

Relevant experience may have been gained within a fund administrator, professional services firm or an in-house fund operations role. Big Four experience would also be advantageous.

The role

• Support the day-to-day operation and oversight of alternative investment funds
• Assist with treasury, liquidity monitoring, cash forecasting and cash management
• Review NAV calculations and investigate valuation or reconciliation differences
• Review annual and interim fund financial statements
• Perform and review cash, position and other fund-related reconciliations
• Investigate operational breaks and coordinate their resolution
• Work closely with fund administrators, auditors, banks and other service providers
• Monitor external deliverables for accuracy, completeness and timeliness
• Review cash movements, balances and supporting documentation
• Maintain clear procedures, accurate records and strong operational controls
• Support audits, financial reporting and other recurring fund requirements
• Produce clear operational information for senior colleagues
• Identify opportunities to improve controls, data quality and existing processes

About you

• An initial foundation in alternative investment funds
• Experience gained within a fund administrator, professional services firm or in-house fund operations team
• Practical exposure to fund operations, fund accounting, NAV reviews, treasury or financial reporting
• A good understanding of alternative fund structures and the fund lifecycle
• Strong analytical and Excel skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies
• Highly organised and attentive to detail, with a strong sense of ownership
• Able to work independently, manage competing priorities and communicate confidently with stakeholders
• Proactive, curious and keen to develop broad fund operations expertise
• Big Four experience would be advantageous
