Job summary

Gigaclear, a UK-based fibre broadband provider, seeks an experienced FP&A professional to drive robust financial modelling, cost and investment appraisal, and strategic analysis. You will influence decision-making by delivering accurate forecasts, long-term planning, and insightful reports, collaborating with senior stakeholders and the FP&A leadership.

The role is hybrid with a requirement to commute to the Abingdon Head Office three days per week, supporting financial success across business

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with experience in a similar role.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and financial modelling.
• Strong analytical skills and proactive problem solving.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with data storytelling.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of core Excel-based financial models using best-practice techniques.
• Develop and maintain models to assess viability of new initiatives and long-term planning.
• Lead monthly packs, forecasts, long-term planning, and annual budgeting files.
• Build models for business case appraisal, scenario planning, and stress testing.
• Develop sales forecasting models and integrated long-range planning models.
• Provide detailed financial insights to support decisions, including variance analysis.
• Identify and implement enhancements to financial processes to improve reporting.

Job description

Use your financial modelling and analytical expertise alongside your communication skills to influence strategic decision-making.

You will develop, maintain, and assure robust, flexible financial, cost, and investment appraisal models, supporting the business and strategic decision-making.

This is a high-impact role within FP&A, working closely with the FP&A Manager, Deputy Chief Financial Officer and senior stakeholders to lead the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of critical financial models, reporting, and strategic analysis. You will help influence decision-making, support performance improvement, and ensure robust financial planning across business areas.

An influential communicator, you will be able to provide recommendations and challenge decision making to achieve goals. You will be comfortable working with senior stakeholders and work in partnership with the business areas working towards financial success through collaboration, analysis, and strategic insight.

Note: this is a hybrid role therefore please consider your ability to commute to our Abingdon Head Office 3 days per week before applying.

Key Accountability & Responsibilities

• Leading the development of core Excel-based financial models using best-practice modelling techniques
• Develop and maintain financial models to assess the financial viability of new initiatives and support long-term business planning
• Lead rolling monthly packs, forecasts, long-term strategic planning, and annual budgeting files
• Building and adapting models for business case appraisal, scenario planning, stress testing, and financial resilience analysis
• Developing sales forecasting models and integrated three-statement long-range planning models
• Support in providing detailed financial insights to support business decisions, including variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
• Identifying and implementing enhancements to financial processes to improve reporting and business performance

Qualifications & Experience

• A qualified accountant holding a recognised qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent with proven experience within a similar role)
• Advance knowledge of Excel and financial modelling
• High analytical skills, proactive approach with the ability to identify issues, analyse problems and develop effective solutions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to showcase how you use data to tell the story
