InteleTravel is the originator of home-based travel advisors, having created the concept over 34 years ago. Now globally the largest host agency with advisors in the USA and Caribbean, launching in the UK 5 years ago and Ireland in 2022.
In the UK & Ireland we have over 33,000 agents; we are an ABTA member, hold an ATOL license and are TOPPS-protected in Ireland.
Canary Wharf is the hub for the UK & Ireland with central support from the USA for accounting, marketing communications and IT functions.
The business has a diverse list of preferred partners, plus a robust booking engine which allows travel advisors to choose how they book and who to book with.
The business offers a low-cost entry fee for individual contractors to run their travel businesses with a full suite of tools and platforms to aid their success.
Training is key, there is a full year calendar of events delivered by InteleTravel UK and our preferred partners.
The Role
Job Title: Financial Ledger Executive
InteleTravel UK is looking to support continued growth with the recruitment of a ledger executive.
This new role is office-based and will work closely with the UK finance team to primarily:
·Implement the non-customer-based credit control process from start to end of process, working with
the internal commercial teams to ensure best and efficient practice, raising invoices, ensuring accuracy
and building and maintaining relationships with suppliers to ensure prompt payment for Marketing and
event monies due and overrides.
·Assist in the collection of monies due to partners from our independent advisors for consumer bookings.
·Work with our internal teams and suppliers on the collection of outstanding commissions.
·Posting of accounts payable invoices (operational) following approval on QuickBooks.
·Providing weekly reports to confirm (operational) payments due to be made.
·Liaising with (operational) suppliers to resolve any issues which may affect prompt payment.
·Work with other members of the UK finance team to pay non-travel ledger supplier statements
·Provide support and cover for team members for travel ledger tasks during busy periods
·Offer team support in all finance-related duties as and when required.
Canary Wharf offers excellent transport connections, and the office provides a friendly environment with a small dynamic team.
About You
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate the following:
·Good written skills and working knowledge of standard Microsoft packages (such as Word, Excel,
Outlook) and be able to work efficiently in a paperless environment.
·Professional verbal communications skills to enable you to speak to a variety of contacts at all levels.
·Previous accounts receivable / payable experience or knowledge
·Ability to pay attention to detail.
·You should possess the ability to work unsupervised, using your own initiative in reaching sound
judgment but able to identify when to refer to others.
·Add positive value to the team
Working with Inteletravel UK
Working Hours are between 0900 – 1800 hrs., Monday to Friday.
InteleTravel UK will provide a competitive salary, National Insurance, and pension contributions. Statutory sick pay and 20 days holiday plus bank holidays is included with an opportunity to earn group performance-related bonuses.
