A financial institution is seeking a Senior Leader to manage investigations into economic and financial crime, ensuring compliance and guiding teams across locations. This role involves significant stakeholder engagement, strategic decision-making, and the use of advanced data analytics to enhance investigation practices.
This new role holder is responsible for leading the team to drive proactive risk management into the Business Units where external financial crime threats are identified and notified by law enforcement and where investigation control environment enhancements are identified.
The role holder will lead the teams who respond to externally generated leads and requests from external partners and will drive the triage and tasking of the FIU Complex Investigations teams alongside the FIU Global Head of Investigations.
The role holder will lead a team based across London, Glasgow and India and will report to Global Head of FIU.
We're looking for individuals with a background in economic/financial crime, who can understand the linkages from fraud and articulate the risks and findings of their investigations.
Experience in line management and stakeholder engagement is highly desirable, as these roles involve managing teams across multiple locations and engaging key stakeholders across various functions and locations.
Purpose of the role
To conduct investigations into various aspects of the bank’s operations and/or conduct of individuals to identify and address potential instances of non-compliance, fraud, misconduct, or other unethical behaviour, that harms or is likely to harm the reputation or financial well-being of the firm or may lead to legal and/or regulatory censure.
