Job description

Reuters is looking for a Financial Graphics Editor who can lead a team of graphics reporters analyzing and transforming data on companies, economics, and markets into clear, accurate, and compelling visual/graphical representations for use on LSEG platforms and other Reuters endpoints.

This position can be based in either New York or London

About the Role

As a Financial Graphics Editor at Reuters, you will:

  1. Lead a team focused on creating daily breaking news graphics across markets, economics, and companies beats.
  2. Determine lines of coverage for the team in conjunction with our financial news reporters and the wider graphics team.
  3. Manage workflows and processes for seamless integration of this content across platforms.
  4. Generate story and graphics ideas from the financial and business news of the day, creating, assigning, and editing these pieces as necessary.
  5. Identify and report interesting data sets.
About You

To be our Financial Graphics Editor, you will likely:

  1. Have a proven ability to work with complex financial data in a newsroom setting and transform that data into compelling on-the-news graphics.
  2. Be proficient with Adobe Illustrator, mapmaking software such as QGIS, programming languages like R or Python, and front-end web development skills. Experience with Datawrapper, Flourish, Tableau, or similar tools is also desirable.
  3. Possess a journalism degree or equivalent newsroom work experience.
