The Opportunity

The successful candidate will be responsible for the company’s financial accounting, reporting and control activities including providing organisational and administrative guidance for financial operations and playing a full and active role in Senior Management Meetings.

  • Providing and interpreting financial information
  • Preparation of asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analysing account information and preparing company financial accounts
  • Monitoring and interpreting cash flows and predicting future trends, analysing change, and advising accordingly
  • Preparing and formulating strategic and long-term business plans
  • Developing financial management mechanisms that minimise financial risk
  • Conducting reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities
  • Ensuring company's accounting and reporting software is maintained and back ups are secure
  • Accountable for tax compliance including income tax, VAT, and corporation tax
  • Liaising with auditors
  • Developing external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors, solicitors, bankers, and statutory organisations such as the Inland Revenue
  • Producing accurate financial reports to specific deadlines
  • Developing and preparing annual budgets
  • Managing team including professional development
  • Keeping abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation
  • Ensure that accounting policies comply with relevant accounting standards and company policies are created and implemented
  • Undertake specific projects as instructed by management
  • Carry out work in a timely and efficient manner in order to meet deadlines, changing priorities when the situation requires
  • Carry out work in accordance with operating procedures and statutory/client specifications and requirements
