Job description

As a Financial Director for a key division of a national market-leading business, this role takes ownership of all financial aspects of the division, ensuring compliance, managing budgets, and providing financial leadership to support key strategies and operations.

Your Core Responsibilities

  • Support the Managing Director in strategic planning, business growth, and decision-making.
  • Manage all aspects of financial control, including budgeting, forecasting, and compliance.
  • Ensure adequate cash flow for operations and investments.
  • Produce monthly management accounts, weekly forecasts, and analytical commentary.
  • Track financial performance against budgets and suggest areas for improvement.
  • Handle quarterly VAT returns, P11D submissions, PAYE, pensions, and audit processes.
  • Involved in P&L, balance sheet, and liquidity planning.
  • Provide pricing guidance, support tenders, and manage annual price adjustments.
  • Develop and manage a high-performing finance team and promote internal financial controls.
  • Drive automation, continuous improvement, and ensure adherence to group processes.
Our Essential Requirements

  • Professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACA or ACCA) with 3 years PQE.
  • Proven experience in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and compliance (e.g. VAT, PAYE, P11D, audits).
  • Ability to provide strategic, commercial, and analytical support to drive business growth, assess investment opportunities, and support decision-making.
  • Experience in leading and developing finance teams, implementing internal controls, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
