Job summary

Exalto Consulting represents a London-based client seeking a Director of Finance to lead the European finance function, reporting to the Managing Partner and Global CFO, and collaborating with the European COO and senior leadership.

You will oversee day-to-day finance operations, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and controls across European offices, manage treasury and tax, support regulatory compliance and audits, and drive automation and ERP implementations to deliver commercial insight.

Qualifications

• Significant senior finance experience within professional services.
• Strong leadership and senior stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent knowledge of financial controls, governance and reporting.
• Experience with partnership accounting/tax is advantageous.
• Extensive experience with Elite 3E or a comparable ERP platform.

Job description

Director of Finance – London – Up to £200K

My London-based client, an international professional services firm, is seeking an accomplished Director of Finance to lead its European finance function.

Working closely with the Managing Partner, European COO, Global CFO and senior leadership team, you will oversee day-to-day finance operations while helping shape the strategic direction of the function.

Within this role, the FD will take responsibility for:

• Leading finance operations and teams across European offices
• Managing budgeting, forecasting, reporting and financial controls
• Overseeing treasury, cash flow, tax, VAT and client accounts
• Acting as COFA and overseeing regulatory compliance and the annual SAR audit
• Providing commercial financial insight to senior leadership
• Driving finance process improvement, automation and systems implementation

The Finance Director will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Significant senior finance experience within professional services, ideally legal
• Strong leadership and senior stakeholder management skills
• Excellent knowledge of financial controls, governance and reporting
• Experience of partnership accounting/tax would be advantageous.
• Extensive experience with Elite 3E or a comparable ERP platform
• A strong understanding of how technology and automation can improve finance operations.
