Job summary

Grafton Banks Finance is assisting a rapidly expanding SME in Bromley, recruiting a Finance Director (number one in finance) reporting to the CEO. The role is 4 days onsite and 1 remote, with exciting growth plans and new technology enabling UK and international expansion.

This senior position requires an experienced FD or Head of Finance with full accounting qualifications and a hands-on, commercially minded approach to lead financial strategy, governance and risk management.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
• Experience at FD or Head of Finance level within an SME, hands-on.
• Commercial mindset with experience driving business expansion.
• Experience producing board reports.
• Based within easy commuting distance from Bromley.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial strategy, governance, reporting and risk management.
• Manage budget, cost control, cashflow forecasting and working capital.
• Support international expansion, investor relations and fundraising.
• Review contracts and drive margin improvement and financial planning.
• Provide commercial analysis to underpin investment decisions.

Grafton Banks Finance is assisting a rapidly expanding and dynamic SME in Bromley, (4 days onsite and 1 remote), with the recruitment of a Finance Director (number one in finance), reporting to the CEO. This business has exciting growth plans and has recently developed new technology which will enable further growth in the UK and internationally.

This role is a key position within the senior leadership team and requires an experienced FD or Head of Finance with all round accounting experience, both commercial and technical.

The role will be responsible for leading the financial strategy, corporate governance, reporting and risk management functions of the business. You will manage the budget, cost control, cashflow forecasting, international expansion, investor relations, contract reviews, financial strategy and planning, margin improvement, commercial analysis to support investment decisions. You will also take responsibility for working capital management, banking relationships, future fundraising and much more.

Candidates need the following experience to apply:

• Be a fully qualified accountant – ACA, ACCA or CIMA Already be operating at FD or Head of Finance level within an SME, be hands on.
• Be commercially minded with experience of helping to drive business expansion Experience of producing board reports Be based within easy commuting distance, (maximum 1 hour from Bromley) as the role is 4 days onsite and 1 remotely.
• Previous experience of working within e-commerce, SAAS, B2B tech sectors or subscription based business is essential
