Job Description:

Our client, a global leader in the finance industry, is seeking a highly motivated German-speaking individual, fluent in English, to join their Alternate Investment Funds team. This is a 12-month temporary contract with an immediate start date. The role is remote with 1 week of onsite training in the City of London.

This opportunity is ideal for recent graduates aiming to start their careers in a leading organization within the technology and finance sectors. Successful candidates will receive comprehensive training and work in a dynamic environment. The role involves sourcing fund data from alternative investment fund managers, building relationships, and acting as a liaison between fund managers and the client’s internal data teams.

The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, the ability to manage financial data processes, and a keen interest in alternative investment funds and financial markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Building relationships with fund managers and acting as their primary contact
  • Liaising between fund managers and internal data/technical teams
  • Sourcing and validating financial data from market providers
  • Updating and processing data into the database with attention to deadlines
  • Applying problem-solving skills to improve processes and software
  • Taking ownership and proactively managing responsibilities

Requirements:

  • Fluency in German and English is mandatory
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in data research and sourcing information from public sources
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of and experience with Alternative Investment Funds and financial markets
  • Critical thinking and process improvement examples
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Effective project management and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in client-facing situations
  • Ability to interact professionally with leading finance experts
  • Strong attention to detail
