Financial Data Manager – Data Strategy, Data Quality, Data Governance, SQL, Power BI, Collibra - Global

Outstanding opportunity to join this global enterprise and renowned brand within the legal sector. Following a recent merger, this business is undergoing a major transformation, including harmonizing its finance applications and data. The focus is on data quality and integrity, with the candidate owning this globally from a finance perspective as a subject matter expert. The role involves driving the finance data strategy to enhance data accuracy and leading Power BI integration for reporting.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about data and its value, with strong experience in data analysis (particularly finance data such as P&L, time & billing), coupled with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills to lead change. Suitable backgrounds include finance/accounting with a technical element (e.g., Senior Systems Accountant) or a technology background specialized in finance systems and data. Essential experience includes:

• Deep knowledge of finance data, preferably in professional services or consulting
• Extensive experience in improving data quality & integrity and leading data strategy
• Strong data analysis, governance, and structuring skills
• Proficiency in SQL and SQL Query Analyzer
• Experience with data governance tools like Purview or Collibra
• Experience with Power BI
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to promote data quality importance across functions
• Background in finance systems from a technical or accounting perspective
• Experience in complex, global enterprise environments
• Willingness to work in-office in City 3 days a week

Salary: £85k-£92k + bonus + benefits. Location: City of London (60%) & remote (40%).
