IntecSelect seeks a Technical Systems Analyst to join a major financial crime technology program in Greater London. You will analyse requirements from cross-functional teams and translate them into scalable technical strategies that strengthen the compliance posture of the bank.

The role combines hands-on scripting in Python, PowerShell, .NET and Power BI with system design, data flows, and collaboration with Compliance, Operations and Risk to deliver robust controls and audit-ready

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience analysing complex systems within regulated banking environments, with a focus on financial crime prevention or surveillance technologies
• Python and PowerShell for automation; experience with .NET and Power BI for data processing/integration
• Strong data engineering background - Snowflake, advanced SQL, MongoDB (NoSQL), SSIS
• Practical knowledge of Apache Kafka; exposure to Kubernetes for cloud deployments
• Hands-on GitHub usage - branching strategies, release management
• Agile/Scrum delivery experience with JIRA/Confluence
• Exposure to AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and model life cycle management - beneficial
• Experience with transaction monitoring (e.g., Actimize), sanctions screening (e.g., Fircosoft), or market/trade surveillance platforms - beneficial but not essential
• Excellent communication skills - able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Proactive, organised, able to manage large workloads under tight deadlines

Responsabilités

• Analyse, design, and implement enhancements for financial crime and surveillance platforms.
• Hands-on development, configuration, and scripting using Python, PowerShell, .NET, and Power BI.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications, ensuring robust, compliant solutions.
• Conduct root cause analysis and design preventative controls.
• Act as technology contact during audits, providing evidence and data extracts.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Operations, and Risk as a liaison between users and tech.
• Provide SME input on systems architecture and data flows.
• Analyse large datasets for anomalies and maintain data integrity.
• Support model validation and tuning ML models to enhance detection.
• Participate in change management: upgrades, patches, implementations, documentation, version control.
