As a Financial Crime Risk Specialist, you'll work in partnership with the Financial Risk Manager and wider Group to ensure effective financial crime risk management frameworks and governance processes exist across YBS, advising and assuring them, as well as ensuring other areas of YBS are appropriately managing financial crime risks.

This is a hybrid role with a blend of remote working plus time in our Leeds or Bradford offices.

About the role

As Financial Crime Risk Specialist, you'll work with business areas to educate them to identify and understand financial crime risks, whilst helping them implement control frameworks to manage risk effectively.

You will have the opportunity to support a variety of projects as Yorkshire Building Society continues with its exciting and ambitious plans to transform the way we do things and help us achieve our future ambitions.

About you

With a proven track record in a similar role, you will -

  • Be a subject matter expert in financial crime, understanding the risks that YBS may be exposed to
  • Have experience of providing robust financial crime risk management expertise, advice and guidance to operational service delivery functions and specialist functions
  • Have the professional ability to work independently, under tight deadlines and make effective decisions, motivating and developing yourself and others
  • Business knowledge of the Financial Services industry
