We are excited to expand our team and are looking for a Financial Crime and Regulatory Compliance Analyst to join eToro Money UK! This role offers a chance to support our rapid growth, providing financial crime and regulatory compliance oversight for our FCA-authorized and regulated entity, eToro Money UK. Reporting to the MLRO and supporting the Head of Compliance, within a team of 2LoD analysts, your responsibilities will include:
Responsibilities:
Financial Crime
- Responding to 1LoD escalations involving high-risk and monitored customers, including PEPs/RCAs, sanctioned individuals, and subjects with adverse media.
- Providing timely reports to the MLRO regarding identified risk issues and control gaps.
- Advising the business on financial crime matters, including guidance on account opening and closure for retail and corporate clients, as well as complex cases.
- Supporting investigations into cryptocurrency and FX transactions, SAR submissions, and law enforcement requests.
- Contributing to the governance framework by assisting in drafting policies and procedures aligned with regulatory requirements and supporting their implementation.
- Performing 2LoD quality assurance reviews of financial crime controls and supporting compliance monitoring plans.
- Conducting horizon scanning and intelligence reporting on financial crime trends and risks.
- Designing and delivering training on financial crime typologies and controls.
- Supporting financial crime projects and system integrations, collaborating with stakeholders and product teams.
- Leading risk assessments and reviews of system configurations.
- Undertaking ad hoc tasks, including supporting APP/PSR initiatives and regulatory reporting.
Regulatory Compliance
- Executing the regulatory compliance monitoring programme.
- Horizon scanning for regulatory changes.
- Drafting and maintaining policies and procedures in compliance.
- Submitting routine and ad hoc reports to the FCA, including notifications.
- Reviewing and approving financial promotions and marketing campaigns.
- Providing general compliance support.
- Monitoring complaints handling and vulnerability processes, and conducting root cause analysis.
- Responding to Financial Ombudsman Service cases.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records across the business.
Requirements
- AML/Financial Crime qualifications are advantageous.
- Several years' experience in Regulatory Compliance, Financial Crime, or AML within a 2LoD function.
- Experience with Consumer Duty, complaints handling, FCA compliance, including CASS, Visa/Mastercard schemes, and EMI reporting.
- Strong background in financial crime risk management, including fraud, AML monitoring, sanctions screening, and KYC/CDD/EDD.
- Knowledge of EMI, PSP, and card issuing operations.
- Subject matter expertise in Electronic Money Regulations, Payment Services Regulations, Money Laundering Regulations, and PSD2.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced environments.
- Proactive, solutions-oriented, with excellent communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong prioritization skills.
- Proficient in data analysis and Microsoft Office.
- Quick learner, adaptable to new systems and technologies.
- Self-motivated, capable of working independently and in teams.
- Resilient and adaptable in a dynamic regulatory landscape.
- Degree or equivalent qualification.
