Overview

Are you a technically strong, qualified accountant looking to take the next step in your career? A leading Engineering consultancy and advisory organisation, a CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified Financial Controls & Reporting Manager to join their fast-growing finance team.

Due to internal promotion the role offers the opportunity to work closely with the Group Finance Director and play a pivotal part in shaping the financial reporting and control environment across a dynamic and expanding group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the preparation of statutory accounts across multiple legal entities.

  • Produce year-end Group financial statements and contribute to the Group's Annual Report.

  • Act as the primary contact for external auditors, ensuring deadlines are met and audit processes run smoothly.

  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders and internal teams to gather and validate financial data.

  • Review year-end submission packs and track audit adjustments to ensure accuracy in P&L and Balance Sheet movements.

  • Oversee the preparation of UK GAAP subsidiary accounts, ensuring alignment with Group reporting.

  • Consolidate and analyse monthly management accounts and forecasts.

  • Drive continuous improvement in consolidation and reporting processes.

  • Provide technical accounting guidance across the Group, including updates on new standards.

  • Support on a variety of high-impact ad hoc projects.

What We're Looking For
  • Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA).

  • Strong background in financial accounting, statutory reporting, and regulatory compliance.

  • Exposure to UK GAAP essential; IFRS experience desirable.

  • A proactive mindset with a track record of progression and ambition to move towards a Financial Controller role.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels.
