Job summary

Audit & Risk Recruitment is helping a leading FTSE 100 business based in Chertsey, Surrey, to appoint a Group Financial Controls Manager. The role reports to the Head of Controls Transformation and will strengthen and embed a robust controls framework across a complex international group.

The postholder will support SOX-readiness initiatives, drive culture changes in controls, and collaborate with Finance, Risk and Operations across markets including UK, US, Europe and APAC.

Qualifications

• Background in financial controls, internal audit, risk or governance.
• Experience with SOX and/or SOX-readiness programmes
• Strong understanding of risk and controls environments within large or multinational organisations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and enhancement of the Group financial controls framework.
• Drive improvements in controls culture across the organisation.
• Assist with the rollout and maintenance of RACMs.
• Partner with stakeholders across Finance, Risk and Operations to strengthen governance and control effectiveness.
• Support the growth of second-line controls capabilities across international markets.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Group Financial Controls Manager to join a leading FTSE 100 business based in Chertsey. Reporting to the Head of Controls Transformation, you will play a key role in strengthening and embedding a robust controls framework across a complex international group.

The business is continuing to mature its controls environment, building on a successful corporate reform journey and enhancing controls towards SOX-equivalent standards across key markets, including the UK, the US, Europe and APAC.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development and enhancement of the Group financial controls framework.
• Drive improvements in controls culture across the organisation.
• Assist with the rollout and maintenance of Risk and Control Matrices (RACMs).
• Partner with stakeholders across Finance, Risk and Operations to strengthen governance and control effectiveness.
• Support the growth of second-line controls capabilities across international markets.

About You
