We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Financial Controls Manager to oversee the day-to-day financial transactions and ledgers for Anglian Venture Holdings and its subsidiaries. This role is crucial in ensuring that our companies maintain the highest standards of financial control and governance, driving processes to maximise working capital efficiency and shareholder value.

What you’ll be doing:

- Oversee purchase and sales ledgers, ensuring timely and accurate financial transactions and adherence to Group policies.

- Ensure all month-end controls and reconciliations are completed as required .

- Review and sign off on BACS payment runs.

- Maintain the fixed asset ledger and manage depreciation.

- Manage the financial system to ensure maximum productivity and future readiness.

- Ensure financial documents on QMS systems are relevant, up-to-date, and meet required standards.

- Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts and audits

- Handle VAT reconciliations, CIS returns, and payments.

- Lead and motivate the financial staff and providing training

What does it take to be successful?

- Qualified CIMA/ACCA or qualified by experience

- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and legislation.

- Extensive experience in all aspects of accounting.

- Exposure to commercial operating environments.

- Attention to detail and high levels of customer care.

- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously.

- Excellent communication and IT skills.
