Job summary

Swindon Manufacturing is seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to lead the finance function across the UK and European operations. The role oversees SAP/365 ERP systems, drives reporting, budgeting and cost control, and partners with procurement and senior stakeholders to shape strategic decisions.

You will transform processes, strengthen controls and deliver meaningful financial insight while developing a high-performing accounting team in a growing manufacturing group.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to translate data into action.
• Experience in manufacturing or operational environments with international exposure.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of day-to-day finance operations, ensuring accurate reporting and robust financial control.
• Lead the finance function through a period of change and transformation.
• Deliver monthly management reporting, budgeting and forecasting cycles.
• Improve and simplify finance processes, controls and reporting quality.
• Oversee intercompany transactions and compliance across UK and European entities.
• Support procurement with cost improvement initiatives and process automation.
• Develop and manage the accounting teams across UK and Europe.
• Provide clear financial insight to support pricing, product costing and commercial decisions.
