Job Description

The successful candidate will likely have the following responsibilities:

• Lead and Inspire : Manage and develop an established finance admin team of 4x, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Drive Business Growth : Act as a strategic partner to the wider business, supporting sustainable growth through sound financial management and insight.
• Shape Financial Strategy : Provide clear financial direction and leadership to ensure alignment with the company's long-term objectives.
• Ensure Robust Financial Governance : Uphold strong financial controls and risk management practices to safeguard the integrity of the business.
• Achieve Financial Targets : Collaborate across the business to help meet and exceed financial goals and performance metrics.
• Lead Financial Planning : Oversee all aspects of financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
• Reporting Excellence : Deliver accurate, timely, and insightful management accounts, board reports, and financial analysis to support effective decision-making.
• Optimize Cost and Cash Flow : Champion cost control, margin optimization, and cash flow management to support business resilience and profitability.
• Commercial Insight : Provide data-driven financial insight to inform pricing, investment, and operational decisions.
• Strategic Partnership : Work closely with the board and senior leadership team to align financial strategies with broader business goals.
• External Relationship Management : Serve as the key liaison with banks, auditors, and external advisors, ensuring productive and transparent relationships.
• Regulatory Compliance : Ensure full compliance with all statutory obligations, including VAT, payroll, and corporation tax.
• Inventory Oversight : Manage inventory controls and shrinkage to maximize operational efficiency.
