About the role:

The role is to work with our client in their Engineering business based in Sheffield. The business is a growing SME and they need additional levels of expertise to bring even greater visibility around the financials and help the business grow further. The basics in the finance function are covered but there is a need for an experienced and commercially-minded Financial Controller to lead the finance function and help move the business forward, on a part-time basis.

About You:

You should be a qualified and experienced Financial Controller with experience working in growing SMEs. Preferably you are already self-employed with at least 2 days availability per week.

Your expertise should include:

1. Preparation of insightful management accounts/reports
2. Balance sheet reconciliations
3. Cashflow and profit forecasting
4. Budget preparation
5. Experience and working knowledge of Xero
6. Commercial experience
7. Experienced Excel user including pivots, sumifs, and graphs
8. Proficiency in presenting financial and commercial information to non-financial leaders
9. You must be fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACMA/FCCA/ICAEW) or QBE (5+ years) with experience managing a finance team.

As this role is one day a week (self-employed basis) it could work alongside other client work.

Rate of pay: £35 per hour

Location: Sheffield - There is no opportunity to work from home, onsite only.
